The Director of Operations is responsible for the operational support and professional business guidance for approximately 68 Fitness Together® franchise owners across 82 studio locations. The Director works with Franchise Owners, the Denver Support Center, and peers to drive operational excellence and economic improvement and optimization for Franchise Owners. The Director is the primary source for communication, business analysis, training, and operational issue resolution for their respective studios. This individual is responsible for ensuring compliance with operational and procedural standards, maintaining system-wide uniformity, and implementing new programs and initiatives across all studios in their portfolio.
The Director of Operations will address four areas of focus: in-person and virtual studio training and location visits; performance and improvement support; communication and rollout of strategic initiatives; and ongoing operational issue management. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to Fitness Together® studio owners and managers — providing guidance in day-to-day operations as well as high-level business analysis to ensure the business’s long-term growth and success within the private-suite personal training model. This position is responsible for holding franchise owners accountable for defined tasks and goals, conducting regular business reviews, and driving appropriate engagement. This person is highly analytical, has strong coaching skills, and is self-directed, influential, and persuasive, with the business acumen and vision to guide franchise owners.

Location: Remote (United States)
Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00/annually. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

Position Responsibilities:
Overall Objectives/Responsibilities, goals, expectations
- Ongoing communications with Studio Owners to discuss brand priorities, operational focus areas, and studio-specific plans, opportunities, goals, and progress toward those goals. Communications range from quick weekly update videos to set monthly calls, to weekly open office hours, to regional meetings a few times a year.
- Hosting structured monthly collaboration calls with Franchise Owners to share performance data, system updates, best practices, and peer learning across the Fitness Together® portfolio.
- Meeting with Franchise Owners to review business and consumer feedback metrics and building improvement plans. Sharing best practices across the system to drive overall improvement.
- Participating in regular conference calls, meetings, and other forums to effectively and efficiently report on business activities and results. Lead webinars as needed.
- Attending monthly Franchise Advisory Council (FAC) meetings as the operational representative, serving as a conduit between franchisee feedback and the Support Center.
- Leading Regional Meetings a few times per year to discuss business priorities and train Franchise Owners and Managers on new tools, systems, and best practices to support their success.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for franchisee operational ticketing and issue resolution — triaging, tracking, and resolving submitted issues in a timely manner while identifying systemic patterns that require broader operational response.
- Developing, maintaining, and distributing operational rollout guides and supporting documentation for new programs, initiatives, and brand standards — ensuring franchisees have clear, actionable resources to implement changes successfully.
- Providing or developing reports and/or training materials to assist Franchise Owners in growing their business. Working with the Learning & Development team to ensure the right tools are available for Studios — including culture and leadership development for owners and managers, sales training for front desk associates, and talent attraction, retention, and development. The Franchise Ops team also participates as needed in periodic Franchise University sessions at the Support Center.
- Participating in Confirmation Day events at the Denver Support Center, serving as an operational subject matter expert for prospective Fitness Together® franchisees — speaking to the day-to-day realities of studio operations, franchisee support structures, and what it takes to succeed in the system.
- Leading and coordinating New Store Opening (NSO) efforts for studios within their portfolio — partnering with the NSO and Transfers team to manage pre-opening timelines, franchisee readiness, on-site training execution, and the transition into ongoing operational support post-opening.
- Working collaboratively with Franchise Owners and the VP/SVP of Operations to facilitate any closures or sales/transfers of studios.
- Collaborating with the Support Center to represent Studio Owners and build programs that can be implemented successfully by studio teams. Assisting in the development, management, and implementation of new programs.
- Conducting periodic studio visits to assess operations, meet with the team, and provide in-person coaching and support.
- Managing a personal work schedule that focuses on the highest priorities and ensures high visibility and interaction with Franchise Owners while achieving positive and timely business results across the portfolio.

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 5–10 years of success supporting franchisees, working in a franchised business, or in a field operations position.
- Multi-unit management experience preferred.
- Experience in the health, wellness, and fitness industries is a plus; familiarity with personal training or boutique fitness concepts is particularly valuable.
- The candidate must be an experienced and proven franchise operations consultant with demonstrated and superior leadership skills and a proven track record of coaching, collaboration, and mentoring.
- Personable and able to communicate with all studio team members, from owners and managers to certified personal trainers and front desk associates.
- Experience supporting franchisees with a genuine passion for coaching for results.
- Excellent planning and time management skills; strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and shift focus to meet the changing demands of the role.
- Solid business acumen with excellent analytical and financial skills. Ability to analyze performance metrics and provide actionable coaching to Franchise Owners.
