Overview

The Vice President of New Store Openings (NSO) and Transfers is responsible for defining and owning the strategic vision for enterprise-wide new store growth, ramp performance, and franchisee profitability across all WellBiz Brands business units.


This executive provides end-to-end leadership over the new store lifecycle, including presale strategy, marketing, staffing, operational readiness, and service provider training, with full accountability for early-stage studio performance, ramp timelines, and unit-level economics.


The VP will architect and continuously evolve scalable, best-in-class NSO systems and growth frameworks that drive consistency across brands while enabling targeted customization. This role is critical to optimizing speed-to-revenue, and delivering measurable franchisee return on investment.


As a key member of the operations leadership team, this leader partners closely with the COO and cross-functional executives to align strategy, resources, and execution. Success in this role requires deep expertise in presale strategy, multi-unit operations, and scaling service-based businesses, combined with strong executive influence and the ability to lead through complexity and growth.

Location: Remote (United States)

Compensation Range: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00/annually. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience. 

 

Salary ranges reflect Colorado disclosure requirements. Compensation may vary by geographic location for candidates working outside Colorado. This position is eligible for an annual performance-based incentive bonus with a target opportunity of up to 20% of base salary, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Overall Objectives/Responsibilities, goals, expectations

 

Enterprise NSO Strategy & Business Ownership

  • Drive enterprise NSO strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and franchise development targets across all brands.
  • Maintain full accountability for new unit performance, including revenue ramp, membership acquisition, and time to profitability.
  • Establish and evolve scalable operating models that enable efficient, repeatable, and high-performing new store openings.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize investments, remove barriers, and ensure successful execution of growth initiatives.

New Store Openings & Performance Execution

  • Accountable for enterprise-wide performance of new studio openings, ensuring consistent execution of operational readiness, staffing, training, and launch plans.
  • Drive performance during the critical first 90–180 days, with a focus on achieving key revenue, utilization, and membership milestones.
  • Develop and implement standardized frameworks to accelerate ramp timelines and improve early-stage studio outcomes.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of brand standards while balancing operational flexibility where needed.

Presale Strategy & Revenue Acceleration

  • Scales and optimizes the end-to-end presale growth engine across all brands.
  • Lead digital marketing vendor management and campaign performance, including offer development, to drive strong presale conversion and Day 1 revenue, holding partners accountable to defined KPIs and ROI.
  • Partner with marketing and analytics teams to continuously refine targeting, messaging, and channel effectiveness.
  • Lead campaign performance review cycles, interpret results, and identify optimization opportunities across channels to improve conversion and ROI.
  • Establish performance benchmarks, reporting frameworks, and accountability measures to ensure consistent presale success across markets, using campaign and vendor performance insights to inform strategic decisions and investment priorities.

Franchisee Experience & Transfer Strategy

  • Serve as a visible and credible executive leader to franchisees during the NSO and transfer process.
  • Establish and oversee the strategy for onboarding new franchisees and managing ownership transfers, ensuring seamless transitions and sustained performance.
  • Build trusted relationships with franchise partners, proactively managing expectations and driving alignment with brand and business goals.
  • Ensure a high-quality, consistent franchisee experience that reinforces confidence in the Support Center.

Data, Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Directs the NSO performance framework, including KPIs, reporting, and forecasting models.
  • Leverage data to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and proactively mitigate risks impacting new store success.
  • Continuously refine processes and programs based on performance insights to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure data-driven decision-making is embedded across the NSO lifecycle.

Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Build, lead, and evolve a high-performing, multi-level NSO organization, including Director-level leadership.
  • Design organizational structure, roles, and capabilities to support scalable growth.
  • Develop leadership bench strength and succession plans within the NSO function.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement aligned with company values.

Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment

  • Act as a key strategic partner to the COO and executive leadership team.
  • Drive alignment across marketing, operations, training, franchise development, and support functions.
  • Influence enterprise-level decision-making related to growth strategy, operational priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Represent the NSO function in executive discussions and long-term strategic planning.

 

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

 

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site consumer services (e.g., fitness, wellness, beauty, retail, or franchising).
  • Proven success owning or significantly influencing revenue-driving functions, unit economics, or business performance metrics.
  • Deep expertise in presale strategy and execution, with demonstrated success driving strong Day 1 revenue and rapid ramp to profitability.
  • Experience leading leaders, including Director-level and above, and building scalable, high-performing organizations.
  • Strong background in franchise operations, including new store openings, transfers, and multi-unit growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level and influence C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in high-growth or evolving environments.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership presence, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., MBA, PMP) preferred.
