Overview

The Operations Project Manager is a key member of the Ops Strategy team at WellBiz, responsible for scoping and managing small to medium-sized projects that drive the execution of the company’s strategic objectives. This role involves working closely with business partners, department leads, and external stakeholders to ensure project teams, vendors, and other involved parties are held accountable for successful outcomes. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with WellBiz’s goals. The individual will lead the development of new services or projects, taking them from concept to scale across our brands. Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Development, Finance, Technology, Supply Chain, and Legal teams, the Operations Project Manager will mitigate risks, ensure timely delivery, and achieve successful project implementation in the market.

Compensation Range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00/annually. Offers to select candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.

 

Position Responsibilities:
Overall Objectives/Responsibilities, goals, expectations

 

  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to define project scopes, deliverables, and timelines, and create detailed project plans.
  • Manage and organize project initiatives to support multi-band franchisees, overseeing changes in scope, schedule, and cost while ensuring successful project execution.
  • Accountable for ensuring teams adhere to timelines, driving projects from concept to completion, and proactively escalating and resolving any risks or issues that arise with the project team.
  • Draft, facilitate, and support communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients, including announcements, project reports, and presentations to ensure smooth and successful project rollouts.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation while monitoring and reporting on progress, proactively identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Facilitate project meetings, set agendas, track tasks and issues to resolution, collect project metrics, and communicate status to key stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Regularly communicate with members of the Executive Leadership Team and Steering Committees to discuss project status, blockers, and estimated timing of key tasks.
  • Lead project completion and closure activities (post launch survey, reporting, etc.)
  • Assist with training internal team members to support the adoption of WellBiz Brands project playbook methods, tools and principles.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting ways to improve processes and workflows WellBiz Brands project playbook methods ensuring a successfully executed launch and implementation of key initiatives.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor and department heads.

  • Quick learner with problem-solving ability who can work well under pressure with ever-changing deadlines.
  • Demonstrates analytical competence to correctly collect, analyze, synthesize, and integrate reports and communications.
  • Basic understanding and demonstrated application of project management methodologies including waterfall, agile, and hybrid.
  • Ensures follow-up action for issue resolution. Forward-thinker that anticipates needs and requests.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Team player with strong relationship-building skills across all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Preferred certifications/educational level:

  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology or related field.
  • PMP or CAPM or other project management certification a plus
  • 1 to 3 years of progressive project management, administration, or information technology experience.
  • Proven, demonstrated experience bringing complex new concepts to fruition.
